Realtime Courtroom in Utah Demonstrates Realtime Reporting Value

Thanks Rick Louie for the link to a video of Judge Nuffer from a Utah court in which they’ve implemented technology in order to utilize realtime browsing so that the judges and attorneys could better do their job.  As a court reporting school in the Los Angeles area, South Coast College prepares its students for work in such a realtime environment.  South Coast College also provides ongoing continuing education courses for court reporters in the Los Angeles and Orange county areas.  It recently had 38 court reporters from the Orange County courts participate in an intensive 10-week training course on realtime principles in preparation for the California Certified Realtime Reporter (CCRR) Examination.

This is an interview with Judge Nuffer regarding the value of the realtime court reporter.  This video is public and is circulating around.  Several other courtrooms, including courtrooms in the Los Angeles area, have contacted Judge Nuffer and want to implement the same thing they did.

The video explains how realtime is used by judges and attorneys in the courtroom.
